About The Photograph On the first day of fieldwork, our team was shaken by the area's physical collapse.  We passed whole blocks of row homes tumbling like dominoes, we peered into abandoned family kitchens through collapsed walls, and we observed the ghosts of demolished row houses, imprinted like dollhouse cross-sections on the homes still standing next door.
				The Health of Philadelphia Photo-Documentation Project was funded by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Health & Society Scholars Program, with additional support from the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and the Institute for Urban Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
